Vahl már tegnap kibukott kartellezés miatt, a tocsikoló Boldvai és a zuschlagoló Arató államtitkár lehet. Gazdasági miniszter nélkül alakult meg a "szakértői válságkezelő" Bajnai-kormány. Vahl Tamás – az ellene induló sajtóhadjáratra hivatkozva – visszalépett a jelöléstől.

Másképpen tálalja az esetet az MSZP honlapja: e szerint Bajnai Gordon választottjától és a Gazdasági Versenyhivatal vezetőjétől is tájékozódott arról a három büntetésről, amelyet kartellvétség miatt szabtak ki a Vahl Tamás által vezetett SAP Hungary Kft.-re. Az utolsó csepp a Transparency International nyílt levele volt. Bajnai önkritika nélkül, arra hivatkozva hátrált ki a gazdasági miniszteri szék várományosa mögül, hogy "a mindenkori gazdasági miniszterrel szemben egyértelmű elvárás a tisztaság". Nem támasztott ilyen elvárásokat a háttéremberek kiválasztásánál. Államtitkár lehet a Tocsik-ügyben 1999-ben fogházbüntetésre és vagyonelkobzásra ítélt, majd egy újabb eljárásban zsarolással vádolt, végül a Legfelsőbb Bíróság által felmentett Boldvai László és a Zuschlag János büntetőügyével összefüggésbe hozott Arató Gergely.
